When it comes to addressing formal wedding invitations, understanding the appropriate titles and abbreviations for the mailing envelopes can be nothing short of a headache. And because of that, our couples have been coming to us in search of the proper way to address an envelope for a formal (or not so formal) wedding invitation.  Addressing envelopes, (for any occasion) comes with some etiquette rules and should never be an afterthought. Here are some tips on how to properly address your envelopes.

One of the most common questions we are asked by our clients is, “How much postage should we purchase?”  That’s actually a more complicated answer that you’d think.  First, let us stress:  We ALWAYS recommend that you take one of your fully completed invitation suites to the post office and have them weigh and measure it BEFORE you purchase any postage.  However, here are a few tips that we’ve found useful when planning around your wedding invitation budget.  TIP: Remember, you will need to put a stamp on the response envelope AND the mailing envelope, so that’s a minimum of two stamps per mailed invitation.

The countdown to your big day has officially begun.  With everything that goes into planning a wedding it’s hard to stay organized  and on task.  At Take Note! Creations, we’ve put together a complete wedding stationery timeline to help you remember some of those important details.

10-12 Months:

Planning a wedding is NO JOKE and there are a lot of small details to remember that could make even the most organized couple go crazy.  One of those little details that often get overlooked is wedding stationery. A lot of couples push that item aside until the last minute because, well frankly, choosing paper isn’t as fun as cake tasting, or trying on beautiful gowns.
